Job Summary: Columbia University Medical Center is hiring a Data Analyst/Biostatistician to support research projects. The position involves data management, statistical analysis, report preparation, and training/supervision of junior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret study results.
- Prepare reports for publication.
- Clean and develop data systems.
- Perform statistical analyses (longitudinal data, propensity score, comorbidity adjustment, latent variable analysis, advanced regression, multilevel modeling, machine learning, survival methods).
- Train and supervise graduate students and supporting staff in programming and quantitative skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
- Required: Experience with programming in SAS and/or R.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in biostatistics.
- Preferred: Experience working with administrative data sets, cohort generation, and prior work experience.
Salary: $66,000.00 – $72,000.00 (The final salary will depend on various factors, including departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.)
