  • Salary: Tk. 150,000 – 165,000 (Monthly)

Job Summary: Gonoshasthaya Kendra (GK) seeks an experienced Medical Coordinator to manage and supervise healthcare services for Rohingya refugees and host communities in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical and Management:
    • Provide technical guidance for project planning, implementation, and monitoring.
    • Ensure adequate resources for healthcare service delivery.
    • Support program implementation (recruitment, training, work plan development, etc.).
    • Produce high-quality technical reports.
    • Contribute to government approvals and reporting.
    • Develop/adapt SOPs and technical guidelines.
    • Support program strategy, concept note, and funding proposal development.
  • Coordination & Representation:
    • Maintain relationships with health sector stakeholders, including UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, and local government.
    • Represent GK at meetings and workshops.
  • Team Management and Capacity Building:
    • Supervise Clinic Managers, Medical Officers, and Outreach Officers.
    • Provide feedback and coaching.
    • Conduct training needs assessments and facilitate capacity-building activities.
  • Logistics & Compliance:
    • Contribute to procurement and supply chain management.
    • Ensure compliance with GK policies.
    • Attend staff meetings and report to management.
    • Contribute to emergency preparedness and response.
    • Conduct regular field monitoring visits (minimum 50% of working time).
  • Special Note: Perform additional assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • MBBS (with valid BMDC registration); Master’s in Public Health (MPH) preferred.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a similar position in a humanitarian context (preferably Rohingya response).
  • Proven ability to manage healthcare projects in stressful environments.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated writing and editing skills (grant proposals, reports).
  • Flexible work attitude.
  • Advanced computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, KoBo, Google Meet, Zoom, Teams).
  • Experience in research and publication is an advantage.
