Officer Cadet Recruitment | Bangladesh Navy | 2026 Batch

Job Summary: The Bangladesh Navy is seeking highly motivated and disciplined individuals to join its esteemed officer corps. Successful candidates will undergo rigorous training at the Bangladesh Naval Academy and be commissioned as Sub-Lieutenants.

Qualifications

  • Age: 16.5 to 21 years (as of January 1, 2026)
  • Education:
    • SSC/Equivalent: Minimum GPA of 5.00 in Science group (including Mathematics and Physics)
    • HSC/Equivalent: Minimum GPA of 4.50 in Science group (including Mathematics and Physics)
    • OR
    • For English medium candidates:
      • At least 3 ‘A’ grades and 3 ‘B’ grades in ‘O’ Level.
      • At least 1 ‘A’ grade and 2 ‘B’ grades in ‘A’ Level.
      • Mathematics and Physics must be included in both examinations.
  • Physical Standards:
    • Men: Height: 5 feet 4 inches, Weight: 50 kg, Chest: 30 inches (normal), 32 inches (expanded)
    • Women: Height: 5 feet 1 inch, Weight: 46 kg, Chest: 28 inches (normal), 30 inches (expanded)
  • Other Requirements:
    • Unmarried
    • Physically fit and medically sound
    • Good moral character
    • Bangladeshi citizen

Application Process

  1. Online Application: Apply online through the official Bangladesh Navy website.
  2. Initial Medical Examination: Undergo an initial medical examination.
  3. Initial Interview and Written Examination: Participate in the initial interview and written examination.
  4. ISSB Examination: Appear for the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB) examination in Dhaka Cantonment.
  5. Final Medical Examination: Undergo a final medical examination.
  6. Final Nomination Board: Attend the final nomination board conducted by the Naval Chief.

Training:

  • Three years of rigorous training at the Bangladesh Naval Academy.
  • Includes 10 weeks of training at the Bangladesh Military Academy.
  • Academic degrees awarded:
    • B.Sc. (Hons) in Maritime Science (Executive Branch)
    • B.B.A. (Supply Branch)
    • B.Sc. Engineering (Engineering and Electrical Branches)
