Prime minister’s education assistance trust scholarship: The Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust is offering financial aid to disadvantaged and meritorious students entering undergraduate programs (and equivalent levels) in Bangladesh. Applications open tomorrow, February 6th, and close on February 27th. This initiative aims to support students pursuing higher education and ensure access for those from vulnerable backgrounds.

Who is Eligible?
This financial aid program targets underprivileged and meritorious students admitted to undergraduate courses. Priority will be given to:
- Students with disabilities
- Orphaned students
- Children from landless families
- Children from families affected by river erosion
- Children or grandchildren of freedom fighters
How to Apply:
Online Application: Apply online through the designated link: https://www.eservice.pmeat.gov.bd/admission. Follow the instructions and upload the required documents.
Required Documents:
Completed application form (available for download on the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust website).
Attested copy of your most recent academic transcript.
Certificate of income (see details below).
Supporting documents for priority categories (if applicable).
Income Verification:
Children of government employees (grades 13-20): Submit a certificate of your parent/guardian’s salary grade from their head of office.
Other students: Submit a certificate from your educational institution or department head verifying that your parent/guardian’s annual income is less than 200,000 BDT.
Financial Aid Amount:
Undergraduate/Equivalent Level: 10,000 BDT
(For context, the Trust also provides 5,000 BDT for secondary level and 8,000 BDT for higher secondary level.)
